The SpurTex VS mouthpiece from the Czech nanotechnology company Spur is a very effective respiratory protective device. The three-layer drape conceals a highly efficient nanomaterial filter membrane between the viscose layers , which has a proven capture of 96% for submicron particles (400 nm NaCl), which corresponds to FFP2 filtration. It is thus ideal for capturing viruses (80 - 150 nm), bacteria, smog or allergens. It has a low pressure resistance of 40 - 60 Pa at an air flow of 30 l / min. This makes the mouthpiece perfectly breathable and easy to breathe. The nano drape is disposable, or if necessary, it can be sterilized 1 - 3 times using germicidal (UV-C) lamps or an oxidation sterilizer. It can normally be worn for 3 to 8 hours, depending on the environment in which it is used. The SpurTex VS nano drape is equipped with a reinforced shapeable edge to perfectly adapt to any face shape and thus maximize its filtering ability.

Unique nanofibers

The nanofiber is invisible to the human eye. It is up to 1000 times thinner than hair. Thanks to this, the filter membrane can be spun out so thick or with such small openings that bacteria, viruses and allergens do not pass through them. This highly effective mechanical barrier thus allows the use of no chemicals or brittle borosilicate microfibers in the manufacture of the SpurTEX VS nanoscape. These are used in standard protective equipment. However, they can have an adverse effect on human health.

Veil handling according to WHO recommendations:
Veil application:
Wash your hands with soap and water, wipe your hands with a disposable towel and use a disinfectant. Check the integrity of the drape package, remove the drape from the package and check the integrity of the drape. Grasp the drape so that the foldable edge is at the top.
When tying the strings - hold the veil on the bridge of the nose and tie the upper strings on the top of the head to a bow. Then grab the bottom cords and tie them at the nape of the neck. Shape the edge of the veil according to the shape of your nose.
When attaching to rubber bands - hold the rubber bands in both hands and tighten by the ears. Pull the drape as high as possible to the root of the nose and pull it to the desired shape. Grasp the bottom edge of the drape and pull it over your mouth and chin.

Veil removal:
Wash your hands with soap and water, wipe your hands with a disposable towel and use a disinfectant. Do not touch the front of the drape.
When tying the strings - untie the bows on the nape of the neck, then remove the cap on the top of the head and the veil held only by the strings.
When attaching to rubber bands - hold the rubber bands in both hands and remove the veil held only by the rubber bands

Dispose of the drape in a specially designated waste bin. Wash your hands with soap and water, wipe with a disposable towel and use a disinfectant.

Veil maintenance:
The SpurTex VS mouthpiece is categorized as a disposable material. Its excellent filtration properties are maintained only for a very limited time depending on the environment in which it is used. During normal use, after 3 - 8 hours, there is a significant concentration of dangerous particles (bacteria, viruses, etc. ) ) in a nanofiber filter and in a contaminated environment must therefore be changed frequently. The nanofiber structure itself is not treated with any antimicrobial treatment.

Veil sterilization:
If necessary, the drape can be sterilized 1 - 3 times. Washing or ironing of the material is not recommended. The recommended method of sterilization is using germicidal (UV-C) lamps or an oxidation sterilizer (20 minutes on each side). The drape can also be sterilized by light spraying with ethanol, but the drape must not get wet and you must then let it dry completely. Steam sterilization is not recommended. Other sterilization methods must be addressed with the manufacturer.
