NAS server RS815+ supports Synology High Availability (SHA), which combines active and passive server to a cluster, where one server is continuously mirrored to another. Heartbeat mechanism detects a regular "heartbeat" connection between two servers. If the main server failure occurs, the passive server assumes the position immediately.
