It has a zoom range of 17-50mm (26-75mm equivalent to the full-frame format) and its constant aperture of F/2.8 throughout the entire focal range is a significant advantage. The lens is a very versatile tool for photography in all lighting conditions, from interior scenes to portraits, landscapes or architecture. This lens is exclusively designed for SLR cameras with a chip smaller than a film frame (max. 24 x 16mm), and cannot be used on the classic film SLR cameras. The innovative design and the materials used provide a very compact size and low weight while maintaining high image quality, supported by the hybrid aspherical elements and LD glass with low dispersion reducing chromatic aberration. The Tamron SP series is made for the finest-quality performance without compromise.
