With the Tascam DP-24SD 24-track recorder you will be able to record up to 8 tracks simultaneously. You'll get 8 combined XLR/6.3mm jack inputs, one of which features a Hi-Z switch for direct recording of sources such as guitars and bass guitars. Compression and limiting are available for recording, as well as simulating various guitar amps and multieffects on the instrument input. Once you've recorded tracks, you can see them on the large LCD display and further mix with 19 faders and a dozen tape encoders. There are also two mixdown effects including reverb and chorus, as well as a mastering effect. Once finished, tracks can be transferred to your computer via USB for further processing or sharing with others.

The 8.9cm (3.5") LCD screen and backlit buttons make it easy to follow the entire creative process. Whether you press the SOURCE and SELECT buttons to assign an input to a track, or use the REC and MUTE buttons to activate a recording or mute a track, you'll always be aware of the situation, even when you're in an environment with minimal ambient lighting. The 12 rotary knobs are linked to the LCD via their colour-coding for quick orientation and control of settings such as EQ, PAN, effect send, and other related parameters.
