Tenda AP4

This top Tenda AP4 wireless access point is suitable for small and medium-sized firms and for households. It supports five working modes and can perform several different functions, based on the need. The quality of the signal is ensured by a pair of detachable antennas with a capacity of 5dBi and can support speeds of up to 300Mb/sec. The device is equipped with a new Broadcom chipset which brings high real-life transmission speeds, stability, and also an "Eco Green Wi-Fi mode" that reduces the active power consumption.

Multipurpose device

In the AP mode (Access Point) the AP4 is connected to the network via a cable and transmits the wireless network. It also functions as a switch (Switch), as it includes 2 LAN ports and it is possible to connect another device. In extension mode, the WiFi signal (Universal Repeater / Universal Range Extender) selects the WiFi network that the AP4 is already connected to and extends the signal to places where it is already weak or fluctuates. All of the network parameters such as the network name, security, and password will remain the same, but the range is dramatically increased. 

In the Client + AP mode, it is similar to the Universal Repeater / Extender mode, but the Tenda AP4 connects to a WiFi network to create a second but separate WiFi network whose parameters you can configure. There is also a Station mode where the AP4 connects to the WiFi network and provides connectivity to two devices via the LAN port.

High-level security

In addition the Tenda AP4 supports the strongest WPA2-PSK protocol as well as other types of security features such as, a VPN, MAC address filtering, the ability to disable the broadcasting of the name of your wireless network (SSID), VLAN for each SSID, up to 8 different SSIDs with different security settings as well as various levels of output power and other superior networking capabilities. The device is equipped with two removable omnidirectional antennas, which each provide a gain level of 5 dBi. With the "Quick Setup" setting you can complete the configuration of your new Wi-Fi AP / Extender in only a few minutes.
