Spatula Design
The shape of each spatula resembles a small trowel. This specific design intentionally gives the tool high rigidity, which is essential when working with dense materials like high-performance thermal pastes. Unlike standard flat applicators, it does not bend, giving the user full control over the applied pressure. This makes it possible to effectively spread the paste over the entire surface of the integrated heat spreader (IHS) and push out excess material without the risk of the tool itself deforming.

The applicators are made of a softened plastic that is less hard than the metal surfaces of the components. This choice of material deliberately reduces the risk of scratching the sensitive surface of the processor or the copper base of the cooler. At the same time, the smooth surface of the plastic spatula does not hinder smooth movement and even spreading of the paste.
Chemical Stability of the Material
The chemical inertness of the plastic used is a crucial feature when working with modern thermal pastes. These often contain metallic microparticles or other reactive components to increase thermal conductivity.
