TOKINA 11-16 mm F2.8 for Canon

Tokina AT-X 11-16mm 116 PRO DX is an extremely wide-angle lens with a maximum aperture of F2.8. It is ideal for work in demanding light conditions. This lens has a manual focusing ring with an interlocking follow focus gear for shooting video with DSLR (VDSLR) cameras. An aperture F2.8 is often regarded as a necessary feature for each zoom lens, so it should not be missing in your camera bag. A new feature is the Silent Drive Motor (SD-M), which enables the use of autofocus on cheapest Nikon SLR cameras. GMR magnetic AF sensor speeds up focusing process due to the precise detection of sharp elements position. The lens finish has been improved as well, reducing flare and other optical defects.

Taking great photos

Tokina 11-16mm uses a recently developed new generation silent Silent Drive-Motor. In combination with the GMR magnetic sensor, it provides higher speed and quieter autofocus. Aspherical lens elements and lens elements are characterized by extremely low dispersion, reducing colour aberration and helping to achieve maximum resolution, high aperture, and correction of geometric distortions.

Follow focus

This lens has a manual focusing ring with an interlocking follow focus gear to be used in a cinema follow focus system. This lens is for shooting video with DSLR (VDSLR) cameras. To use follow focus, the manual focus ring is placed in the MF position before shooting. When photographing normally (taking photos), auto-focus can be used.

One-touch Focus Clutch

Another advantage of the easy and convenient AF-MF switching. The mechanism One-touch Focus Clutch allows you to switch between modes by simply sliding the focusing ring forward and back on the lens barrel. The feel when manually focusing has a moderate sense of torque in the focus ring, enabling precise focusing.
