Dominion

An excellent strategy game that won the Spiel des Jahres 2009 (Game of the Year 2009) award. It is so popular mainly due to its original game principle, simple rules, short game time and good playability.

In the game, you are the ruler of your estate, which you improve and expand using cards (buildings, etc. ). At the beginning you have only a few cards, over time you build your deck of cards, which gets bigger and allows you more options and tactics. The game is all about combining and timing your card moves correctly to score as many victory points as possible, while competing with your opponents to earn them. At the end of the game, the provinces, dukedoms and possessions will determine who was the best ruler.
