This AX3000 AP uses the 802.11ax standard and achieves a combined speed of 2976Mbps. The speed is split between 2402Mbps on the 5GHz band and 574Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. For efficient data transmission and serving a large number of clients, it uses OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies. Using a 160MHz channel (HE160) on the 5GHz band doubles the data capacity in a single stream and increases performance in densely congested environments. Technologies like 1024-QAM and a 4× longer OFDM Symbol further boost network throughput.
Coverage and scalability with Omada Mesh
Omada Mesh technology wirelessly links access points to extend signal coverage without needing additional cables. This Mesh WiFi Access Point offers seamless roaming, maintaining a stable connection for video calls and streaming even as users move between individual APs. The access point can serve more than 250 simultaneously connected devices over an area of up to 140m². It meets the requirements for reliable coverage in offices, hotels, or educational institutions.
Centralised management and flexible deployment
The Omada Software-Defined Network (SDN) centrally manages devices. The platform unifies access points, switches, and routers under a single interface, accessible via a web browser or the Omada mobile app. The ZTP feature simplifies remote deployment and configuration of multiple units at once. The ultra-slim 3.36×16×16cm design and included mounting kits allow for discreet installation on a ceiling or wall.
WiFi Access Point security and connectivity
To protect your business network and data, this WiFi Access Point includes robust security features. It uses the more modern WPA3 encryption standard as well as WPA2-Enterprise. For managing guest access, it provides a Captive Portal with authentication options. Other tools include MAC address filtering, wireless client isolation, and 802.1X support. The device is powered flexibly via the 802.3at PoE+ standard through a gigabit Ethernet port. Alternatively, it can use a 12V DC adapter, which is not included in the package.
