The Ubiquiti EdgeRouter Lite is a powerful desktop router from the new EdgeMAX product line. It has three Ethernet ports and a 500MHz dual-core processor. It is suitable for small and medium-sized businesses and guarantees a high throughput of up to 1 million packets per second with a 99.9% uptime, making it even more versatile for more expensive routers.
Professional Specifications
At the heart of this router is a 500MHz dual-core MIPS64 processor with hardware packet acceleration supplemented with 512MB of RAM and 2GB of data storage. For networking, it is equipped with three gigabit Ethernet ports and another port for administration. One of the router's biggest advantages is the price/performance ratio, which is 25-100 times higher than the competition.
Wide Array of Configuration Options
The built-in EdgeOS operating system is a highly stable system with many useful features. It supports IPv6 protocol, static routing, OSPFv3, RIP and BGP protocols. For security, it offers ACL and Zone firewalls, NAT, OpenVPN, IPSec and PPTL L2TP protocols. DHCP, DNS forwarding, and Quality of Service (QoS) are standard.
Easy Management
The Router offers an intuitive Advanced User Interface to manage all of the above features, as well as event logging and detailed traffic statistics.The interface is easily accessible through a web browser and can also be configured via access to the serial port and CLI, or via SSH.
