WD Black 8TB
The WD Black 8TB hard disk belongs among the standard internal HDDs designed for gamers and other demanding users. The 3.5" format is designed primarily for desktop computers and data centres. One of the most important characteristics is clearly the rotational speed. The 7200 RPM RPM provides better speeds when working with multimedia and data. The total capacity of the hard drive is 8000 GB. The drive uses a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Western Digital hard disk and other hardware is facilitated via the SATA III interface.

Other Hard Disk Features
Standard HDDs are notable for their construction. Inside the hard drive there is a mechanism that utilises moving platters, complete with hard disk heads that facilitate reading and writing of data. These mechanical parts are admittedly more sensitive to shocks, but on the upside, this design also delivers a great combo of a low price and great storage capacity. This is ideal for demanding users, such as graphic designers, gamers, video editors, and people who tend to use large amounts of data. File access speed and overall stability is also impacted by the disk buffer - the so-called cache. The Western Digital hard drive features a 256 MB cache that stores the last used data for their fast retrieval and reading.
Connecting the Western Digital Hard Disk
In order to mount the WD Black 8TB in your computer or other device, it requires a 3.5" slot. Data sharing takes place through the SATA III interface with a standard speed of 6 Gbit/s. This technology is one of the best HDD data transfer options available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
