WD Ultrastar DC HC510 10TB (HUH721010ALE600)
The WD Ultrastar DC HC510 10TB (HUH721010ALE600) hard drive belongs among the 3.5" HDDs are designed primarily for data centres and desktop PCs. One of the main characteristics is obviously the rotational speed (RPM). The 7200 RPM RPM provides faster data transmission. You can look forward to a total data capacity of 10000 GB. The device features a 256 MB memory cache. All the data communication between the Western Digital hard drive and the PC or other devices takes place through the SATA III interface.
WD Ultrastar DC HC510 10TB (HUH721010ALE600) HDD Key Features
- Read speed up to 249 MB/s and write speed up to 249 MB/s
- 256 MB memory cache
- Western Digital 3.5" disk for ordinary drive bays
- Power consumption under standard load is 6,8 W, while in stand-by mode it holds at 0.05 W
- It communicates with a PC or other devices through the SATA III interface
Other Hard Disk Features
Platter hard disks have a notably special construction. Inside the hard drive there is a mechanism that uses moving platters accompanied by hard disk heads that read and write the data. These mechanical parts are admittedly more sensitive to shocks, but on the upside, this design also delivers an affordable price tag and high storage capacity. The important parameter that affects the speed of a hard drive is the number of platter revolutions per minute, generally known as RPM. With the WD Ultrastar DC HC510 10TB (HUH721010ALE600), you would get 7200 RPM RPM. This is ideal for demanding users, such as graphic or video editors - in short, people who work with large amounts of data. Data transmission and overall stability is also impacted by the disk buffer - the so-called cache. The Western Digital hard drive features a 256 MB cache that stores the last data inputs for their speedy reading.
Connecting the Western Digital Hard Disk
In order to mount the WD Ultrastar DC HC510 10TB (HUH721010ALE600) in the device of your choice, it must be equipped with a 3.5" slot. All communication with the computer happens using the SATA III interface with a speed of 3 Gbit/s. The technology is one of the most popular HDD data transfer solutions available and delivers a throughput of 600 MB/s.
