Modern hard disk with a capacity of 1,000 gigabytes of new Caviar Green series, which promises from previous generations even higher energy savings and perfect quietness of operation. The key to such high capacity is to use perpendicular registration. Perpendicular writing technology allows saving the data plate perpendicular to the disk, the data record is so dense and capacity several times higher compared to the older longitudinal registration. Excellent performance also supports 64 MB of memory cache, which is twice the amount compared to conventional hard drives. Thanks to its low power consumption and noise emitted from the disk suitable for multimedia computers, HTPC, home server or for use in external boxes. This version of the disc is intended for connection to high-speed SATA III interface.
