They will easily handle 24/7 operation and have ideal operating parameters. Manage your data in RAID 0, RAID 1, and JBOD modes. Then back it up via USB 3.0, cloud or fast LAN network.

Stream Media to Connected Devices.

Stream videos and photos to connected TVs, media players, game consoles and other devices using DLNA/UPnP. The NAS also features  DLNA 7.2 certified Twonky media server. Thanks to iTunes support, the server allows the My Cloud EX2 to easily play back your music collection.

Make Backups as You See Fit.

Protect your data through a remote backup to another My Cloud EX2 or My Cloud EX4 device by means of integrated cloud-based utilities. There is also integration with popular services such as Dropbox or OneDrive. Also featured are two fast USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet port, of course, for connecting to LAN networks. With WD SmartWare software, you get a powerful tool for backing up Windows, but also Mac OS computers.

Great Applications for NAS Customization.

A myriad of high-end applications are supported, including aMule, Transmission, Icecast, Joomla!, phpBB, phpMyAdmin, SqueezeCenter and others. Of course, there is also an integrated file server, an FTP server, as well as P2P network support.
