Virtual reality within range
The impressive and absorbing experiences of this year's hit, virtual reality (VR), have so far been the prerogative of expensive high-end cards. SAPPHIRE, with the Radeon RX 460 model, aims to get the most customers with this technology, and thanks to a favourable price tag, it can do so. The GPU itself is powered by 2GB of GDDR5 memory. By computing power of more than 2 TFLOPS, this piece can be equalled to Pascal's competing NVIDIA chips, which is two times more expensive.
Leading both in resolution and frame rates
Connector equipment boasts a modern architecture and in addition to the upgraded HDMI 2.0b port featuring 4K at 60 frames per second, both the DisplayPort and 1.4-inch DL-DVI-D are on the rear. There is also the Freesync support for smooth images and HDR for great colour results. The Polaris architecture also takes its format H.265 acceleration to 4K resolution and even at 60 frames per second .
