The Xiaomi Outdoor Camera CW500 Dual EU IP camera provides advanced exterior security via two separate 4Mpx lenses with a high resolution of 2560 × 1440px. This innovative device combines a fixed camera for constant monitoring of a selected sector with a motorised rotating unit that offers 355° horizontal rotation and 95° vertical tilt. Hybrid night vision uses a combination of two infrared and two white lights on each lens for a full-colour image in the dark. IP Camera Hybrid Night Mode
Night monitoring utilises an effective lighting system, which consists of two infrared LEDs and two white LEDs for each lens. During standard operation, the camera works in a power-saving black and white mode with infrared illumination. As soon as the integrated system detects human movement, it automatically activates the white supplementary floodlights and switches the display to full-colour mode, allowing for more accurate identification of details such as clothing colour.
Smart Detection and Active Defence
Advanced artificial intelligence algorithms analyse the image in real time and can reliably distinguish human figures from cars. When the linked tracking function is activated, the fixed camera relays motion information to the rotating part, which begins to automatically track the detected object throughout its full range of motion. If the designated area or a virtual fence is breached, the device triggers an audible alarm accompanied by intense flashing of the built-in lights.
Two-Way Audio with Noise Cancellation
The body's design integrates a highly sensitive microphone and a powerful speaker, which facilitate clear two-way voice transmission. The audio processor uses intelligent algorithms to eliminate ambient noise and wind, making it easier to communicate clearly with people standing in front of the lens. The two-way audio can also be used to verbally warn unwanted visitors remotely via the mobile app.
Recording Storage and Connectivity of the Xiaomi IP Camera
Recorded video footage can be stored in several independent ways according to the user's preferences. There is a slot for a MicroSD memory card, which can hold up to 256GB of data for local storage. An alternative is to back up to a NAS network storage or use the secure Xiaomi Cloud service. The MJA1 security chipset with a unique key encrypts all data transmission and protects user privacy from unauthorised access. Wireless connectivity is provided by modern dual-band Wi-Fi 6 technology operating on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for stable video signal transmission over longer distances. For installation in locations with high interference, a classic RJ-45 Ethernet port is available. Settings are managed through the Xiaomi Home app, available for Android and iOS operating systems.
