LaCie 2.5'' Rugged USB-C 5TB + 2 years SRS Rescue
The Most Modern Member of the Rugged Family
Its original orange design, ideal dimensions, high capacity and exceptional reliability, make LaCie's Rugged external hard drive one of the most popular storage devices on the market. High performance and unbelievable durability are sure to make this device the perfect companion for your travelling needs.
Small but Durable
Rugged USB-C series external drives are available in 4 different capacities. The smallest variant is the 1TB model, then there is a 2TB model, a larger 4TB model and the largest variant is the 5TB model. Despite the large capacity of 5TB, the size of the external hard drive itself is relatively small.
Maximum Reliability
The high-quality, protective case, which is made of rubber, will ensure high resistance against shocks and falls. The Rugged USB-C series will withstand a great deal, for example, being run over by a 1 tonne car.The external hard drive is also waterproof, so you do not have to worry about leaving it out in the rain. These amazing features, combined with this device's eye-catching design, mean that you will never be without your external hard drive when you need it.
Super-fast USB 3.1
With the brand new USB C variant, you will always plug the device in first time, because it's double-sided. Once you have plugged in the LaCie Rugged USB-C 5TB drive, you'll be able to transfer all of your data at lightening speeds, without having to install any drivers.
Automatic Backup
With the supplied application, you will easily be able to backup data from your PC or Mac to an external LaCie Rugged USB-C 5TB disk.
Password Protection
LaCie Private-Public software ensures that any files stored on the LaCie Rugged USB-C 5TB external drive will be completely confidential.
40% Energy Savings
Auto Eco mode reduces power consumption by up to 40%, if the LaCie Rugged is notin use.
Free Data Recovery Service
The Rescue Data Recovery service will recover any data that is lost as a result of hard drive failure, virus attack, software problems, or anything else that causes data to be lost. The customer is entitled to one free data recovery attempt for the duration of the service. However, LaCie does not guarantee that the lost data can be restored in all cases. The Rescue Data Recovery service is linked to the internal disk contained within LaCie. Renewed data will then be stored in the Seagate laboratory on a special storage device or in cloud storage, where it will be available to the customer for 60 days. More information can be found here.
