WD My Passport 5TB, Black
The WD My Passport 5TB external drive serves as portable storage for saving, organising, and sharing your digital data. Data security
Protect access to your files by setting a custom password in the included software. This activates the built-in protection, which encrypts all content stored on the drive with a 256-bit AES hardware module. The separate encryption chip does not burden your computer's processor or affect its performance. Without the password, your files are unreadable and protected from unauthorised access.
Automatic backup and protection
The product includes Acronis True Image for Western Digital software for scheduling backup tasks. The application sets up automatic backups of files and folders from your computer to the external drive at regular intervals. The software also includes active ransomware protection that monitors system processes and blocks attempts at unauthorised data encryption.
Compact design
Measuring 107.2 × 75 × 19.15mm and weighing 210g, the drive is easy to carry. Its design reflects ecological principles, as the drive's casing is made from over 50% recycled plastic. The packaging material is also made from more than 50% recycled pulp and is fully recyclable.
