The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB wireless combination detector protects your home from the threat of fire and carbon monoxide leaks. A signal of 85 dB will alert you to excess values. To detect dangerous carbon monoxide concentrations, FireProtect 2 features a built-in chemical sensor with a minimum 10-year lifetime and is also equipped with two built-in thermistors that respond to sudden temperature increases. The unit is simply installed in the ceiling, ensuring even sensing throughout the room. It can be mounted on the wall close to the gas appliance, reducing the possibility of leakage delays. It communicates using the Jeweller protocol with the central unit and can be controlled via the manufacturer's AJAX application. However, you can also use it completely on its own without the hub. The model marked RB has replaceable batteries with a lifetime of up to 7 years.

When connected to a hub, it constantly exchanges data and analyses it in real time, preventing false alarms. When the detector detects above-limit values, it alerts you with acoustic and optical signals as well as push notifications in the mobile app. If the room temperature exceeds 64 °C or rises by more than 10 °C per minute, the detector will sound an alarm. The optical sensor can distinguish between smoke and steam, while the thermistor reacts quickly to burning material in the room.
Smart home with AJAX
The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB gas detector operates completely stand-alone, but when connected to a central unit, you can create a stable environment to which you can add other detectors in the building and get a truly secure system for mass alarming in 20 seconds. You can also plug it into smart home scenarios, and when CO is detected, the system can trigger ventilation, disconnect gas appliances or set off sirens throughout the property. The HazeFlow 2 software algorithm prevents false smoke detection alarms. Control via the manufacturer's Ajax app is simple and intuitive.
Installation that everyone can do
The device is designed for indoor use. It attaches to the ceiling with the SmartBracket, which does not require removal of the top of the cover. The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB gas detector is equipped with a replaceable battery with a lifetime of up to 7 years. In the event of a low battery, the device will alert you by flashing the LED and beeping.
