The ALPINESTARS SMX AIRS men's textile motorcycle jacket in size XL is designed for riding in hot summer weather. For safety, it is compatible with TECH-AIR®5 airbag vests and fitted with certified protectors. It also includes a removable windproof liner.

Materials and ventilation for summer riding

The construction of the SMX AIRS jacket combines various materials for functionality. Technically advanced mesh is located on the torso, inner sleeves and back, where it ensures airflow during rides on hot days. The outer parts of the sleeves and key zones on the torso and shoulders are reinforced with 450D polyester fabric for increased abrasion resistance. Breathability is further enhanced by perforations in the chest area, making the jacket a suitable choice for summer urban riding and sportier trips.

Advanced protection and airbag compatibility

Safety is paramount with the ALPINESTARS SMX AIRS jacket. It includes CE-certified removable NUCLEON FLEX PLUS elbow and shoulder protectors (Level 1), which are made from a viscoelastic material. On the outside, the shoulders are protected by Alpinestars DFS Lite plastic protectors. The jacket is also ready for NUCLEON back protectors (Level 1 and 2), which lets you easily upgrade your level of protection. Full compatibility with TECH-AIR®5 airbag vests then ensures comprehensive protection.

Comfort and practical details

The jacket is equipped with a range of features for riding comfort. Polyamide stretch panels are located on the back, shoulders, sides of the torso, and under the collar. These panels ensure an adaptive fit and unrestricted freedom of movement. The pre-curved sleeves are optimised for a sporty riding position. You can easily adjust the waist and cuffs using the Velcro straps. The low-profile collar has a soft microfibre lining on the inside. For storing personal items, there are two outer pockets and an internal waterproof pocket for documents or a phone.
