Topology and performance
This UPS uses an online double-conversion topology, which continuously regenerates the power supply and eliminates mains disturbances. The output is always a pure sine wave with no interruption when switching to battery power. The UPS provides a real power output of 1980W and an apparent power of 2200VA. At full load, it powers appliances for 55 minutes, which extends to 104 minutes at half load.
Battery and protection
Inside is a lithium-ion battery with a lifespan of 5 to 10 years, which is lighter and charges faster than lead-acid batteries. The integrated battery management includes deep discharge protection. A cold-start feature starts the UPS even without mains input power. The surge protection absorbs spikes with an energy of up to 432J.
Management and software
A serial port and USB interface are available for local management and monitoring. The free SmartSlot accommodates expansion cards, such as a network card for remote management via SNMP, a web interface or Telnet. The included PowerChute Network Shutdown software coordinates the automatic and graceful shutdown of servers and systems in the event of a prolonged power outage, including support for virtualised environments.
Connectivity and outlets
An IEC C20 input connector is used for mains connection. The output offers a total of eight outlets, all of which are fully backed up and protected. The output outlets include six IEC C13 connectors and two IEC C19 connectors for more powerful equipment. An RJ-45 connector protects the connected data network from surges.
