Cooling and construction

A trio of fans delivering superior airflow guarantees efficient cooling. The Prime RTX 5070 Ti card has a 2.5-slot design with a clear arrangement of the shroud, heatsink and heat pipes, allowing the three Axial-tech fans to use the chassis side panel ventilation to ensure optimal cooling performance. The three Axial-tech fans have a smaller hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that compresses air downwards, which means lower temperatures, less noise and higher performance.

Thermal solution

Large vents on the backplate improve heat dissipation and help keep the GPU cooler during intensive tasks. This airflow increases performance and stability by preventing overheating and thermal throttling. The MaxContact solution increases the surface of the heat spreader above the GPU by 5%, which, combined with the powerful fans, reduces temperatures by up to 2°C. A phase-change GPU thermal pad fills the gaps between the GPU and the cooling module, providing excellent thermal conductivity even under heavy load.

Construction

ASUS GPU Guard uses an adhesive to secure all four corners to reduce the risk of cracks, while a GPU bracket helps ensure even mounting pressure and more stability. The printed circuit board is reinforced with an aluminium backplate that adds structural rigidity to the card, helps prevent bending, and protects components and trace paths from damage. The mounting bracket is made of 304-grade stainless steel, chosen for its strength and high resistance to corrosion. ASUS Auto-Extreme technology allows all soldering to be completed in a single pass, reducing thermal stress on components.

Software, modes and power

Dual BIOS lets you switch between Performance and Quiet modes. In Performance mode, the fans spin at maximum to keep the card cool at all times. Quiet mode maintains the same performance target and top-end settings but offers a less aggressive fan curve for quieter operation at moderate temperatures. The ASUS GPU Tweak III utility takes graphics card tuning to the next level. It lets you tweak critical parameters, including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, and voltage settings, with the option to monitor everything in real time through a customisable on-screen display.
