The ASUS ProArt PA401 Wood Edition is a compact ATX case with a front panel made from certified ash wood, which undergoes a six-stage treatment to protect it against moisture and heat. The case has two pre-installed 160mm front fans and one 120mm rear fan with an integrated PWM hub for cooling control. The front I/O panel includes a USB Type-C port with a speed of 20Gb/s, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, and a lock to prevent accidental shutdowns. Cooling performance and ventilation
The front grille's 33% porosity enhances airflow and ventilation. The integrated dual 160mm front fans deliver up to 3.9m³/min of airflow to graphics cards and CPU coolers. An outer ring connecting the blades of these fans helps to reduce initial vibrations. The front fans and the 120mm PWM-controlled rear fan ensure low noise, minimal vibration, and reliability.
Crafted ash wood
Ash wood was chosen for its durability. The special six-stage manufacturing process for the front panel begins with heat-treating the wood to protect it against insects, moisture, and heat. The panel material is then shaped to precise dimensions. A two-stage surface treatment highlights the ash's grain with a glossy finish. The ash wood comes from sustainable sources and is certified by the FSC.
Connectivity and control
The front I/O panel offers a range of connectivity options, including a single two-part PWM controller, one 20Gb/s USB Type-C port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, HD audio, and a lock for the power and reset buttons. The integrated PWM controller automatically adjusts fan speed to switch between modes. The PA401 Wood Edition case includes one 20Gb/s USB Type-C port for current and future devices, and for connectivity with compatible motherboards. The lock prevents the user from accidentally pressing the power and reset buttons.
