AUNE N5 EVO

AUNE N5 EVO
The Aune N5 EVO network player functions as a pure digital audio source for your external D/A converter or amplifier. At the heart of the device is an advanced architecture that combines an NXP Cortex-M7 processor, an Intel FPGA chip, and dual PLL clocks for low-distortion signal processing. Thanks to the ESS9039Q2M DAC chip, it handles precise format conversion up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512. The player supports streaming via AirPlay 2, DLNA and offers native integration for services like Spotify and TIDAL.

Architecture for quality sound
The Aune N5 EVO is built on a digital architecture aimed at faithful reproduction. The foundation is an NXP Cortex-M7 processor combined with an FPGA chip from Intel. The conversion itself is handled by an ESS9039Q2M D/A converter, which supports native signal processing up to PCM 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512. Timing is ensured by dual PLL clocks and a FIFO buffer. The result is jitter of 171.5ps and signal purity with total harmonic distortion + noise (THD+N) of -141.6dB on the digital outputs.
Connectivity and streaming options
The player offers many ways to access your music. AirPlay 2 and DLNA are used for wireless streaming from mobile devices. The device also has native support for Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer, Qobuz, and Amazon Music. The wireless connection is complemented by Bluetooth 5.1 with support for LDAC and aptX HD codecs. Physical connectivity includes I²S (HDMI), coaxial S/PDIF, and optical Toslink digital inputs. Two USB ports are available for playing local files. The output signal can be routed either anologically via balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA connectors, or digitally. There is also a BNC input for synchronisation with an external 10MHz clock.
