Properties and origin of smoky quartz
Smoky quartz is a variety of quartz whose characteristic smoky tone is created naturally by the presence of aluminium and iron impurities. During millions of years of crystallisation, the stone is also exposed to natural radioactive radiation, which completes its final appearance. The internal structure of the stone often exhibits a so-called cloudy effect, where the intensity of the shade varies unevenly, creating unique patterns. To maintain its appearance, it is recommended not to expose the bracelet to prolonged direct sunlight and to clean it only with lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
