Detailed description of the Empt Smart automatic electronic pill dispenser
- Time-controlled and secure medication dispensing – time-adjustable dispensing of 1 to 9 doses per day. ONLY the prescribed dose for the specific day and time (hour and minute) is dispensed; the patient does not have access to subsequent doses.
- Simple and safe operation – the alarm activates at the set time and the rotating pill tray moves the dose to the dispensing opening. The patient then picks up the dispenser and simply tips it to pour the pills directly into their hand or another suitable container. Tipping the device immediately deactivates the sound and light alarm.
- Medication reminders – 1 to 9 times during the day using the built-in visual alarm (light around the display), an audible alarm (3 levels – high, low, off), or a voice message. Reminders last for up to 30 minutes after the alarm is triggered; the set alarms then repeat daily.
- Rotating, removable pill tray/carousel with 28 compartments – each spacious compartment holds up to 35 aspirin-sized tablets, making it ideal for storing over-the-counter or prescription drugs such as tablets, pills, coated tablets, capsules, or vitamins. The tray can be removed for a family member or caregiver to prepare the individual doses.
- 9 durable, labelled dosage templates in Czech – placed on the tray to fill with medication doses. Use the '1X' template for 28 days / once-daily dosage, the '2X' template for 14 days / twice-daily dosage, and so on, up to 3 days / 9 times-daily dosage.

The large characters and buttons are very suitable for the elderly. The time can be set to 12 or 24-hour mode, and the display automatically switches for daylight saving time.
- Metal key for secure use – the included metal key is used to lock the lid and the battery compartment. This keeps the medication securely stored in the dispenser and protected from unauthorised access or accidental spills/mixing.
- Small, well-designed sliding latch on the dispensing opening – protects tablets from accidentally/mistakenly falling out. To simplify dispensing, the latch can also be used in a permanently open position.
- Robust lockable lid – with a transparent cover (the patient CAN SEE the medication).
- Powered by 4 AA batteries – included in the package. The display shows a low battery symbol. Also ideal for using the dispenser on the go.
- Practical size – the pill dispenser has a diameter of only 20cm. Compared to other automatic pill dispensers, it is easy to carry and use, even away from home.
