Focusrite Scarlett 16i16, 4th Generation is a USB-C audio interface with 16 input and 16 output channels. It's a compact, portable studio hub for artists and producers. The analogue section features 2 main combination inputs for microphone, line or instrument signals, and another 4 line inputs are available on the rear panel. The analogue output includes 4 channels and lets you connect two pairs of studio monitors, which can be switched between using the Alt button. A pair of headphone outputs with individual volume controls and a full MIDI interface are also available. The digital peripherals have an ADAT optical interface for connecting an additional 8 channels of input and output, or stereo SPDIF. The powerful Focusrite Control 2 application makes it easy to manage the 4th generation Scarlett interface on Windows and macOS devices.

New RedNet-derived converters bring top-of-the-line 24-bit/192kHz conversion to the Scarlett range, achieving a 120dB dynamic range. The headphone output has also been upgraded and has never sounded better on a Scarlett. The redesigned mic preamps provide up to 69dB of clean gain, so you can drive even the most demanding dynamic or ribbon mics without needing an external preamp. The popular Air feature brings a touch of the iconic Studio Console sound with its Presence mode, which boosts the high frequencies of your signal, ideal for creating intimate vocal recordings, capturing every subtle detail of an acoustic guitar, and shimmering drum overheads. The new Harmonic Drive circuit, on the other hand, focuses on boosting mid-range harmonics, which is great for electric guitars.
Smart Scarlett features and Hitmaker Expansion for a professional hit
The Auto Gain, Clip Safe and Dynamic Halo features help you set the correct preamp level. Dynamic Halo is a simple solution for indicating signal clipping. If the backlight is red, turn down the gain until it turns green. You can use the Auto button for automatic gain setting; just sing a few phrases or play your instrument and you're ready to record. When combined with the activated Safe function, you can be sure your input recording will not be overdriven. There's also the Focusrite Control 2 virtual mixing console, which lets you adjust the gain directly from your computer or use the handy Loopback function. With every Scarlett audio interface, you get Ableton Live Lite DAW and a three-month subscription to Avid Pro Tools Artist and the Avid Complete Plugin Bundle, plus Auto-Tune Access, Softube Marshall Silver Jubilee 2555, Addictive Drums, Relab Reverb and, of course, a selection of quality plugins directly from Focusrite.
