Fractal Design Epoch case construction
The robust steel construction ensures the stability and durability of the entire chassis. The front panel uses a fine mesh that allows air to flow to the heat-generating components. The side panel is made of lightly tinted tempered glass, which closes off the side of the case and provides a clear view of the internal layout. Access to the dust filters and internal space is tool-free.
Effective cooling system
The case is equipped with three pre-installed 120mm Momentum fans with FDB bearings, designed for quiet operation and long-term use even under heavy load. The chassis design allows for the installation of up to six fans, promoting effective airflow throughout the entire interior. Additional fans can be installed in the top and rear positions. The front of the case is adapted for mounting water cooling radiators up to 360mm, while the top position supports a 240mm radiator. This arrangement enables a combination of water cooling for both the processor and graphics card without restricting other components.
Internal space of the case
The internal space allows for the installation of graphics cards up to 372mm long while retaining the front fans. The maximum processor cooler height is 170mm, which corresponds to most commonly used tower coolers. The interior's construction is adapted for mounting ATX, mATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards.
Storage in the Fractal Design Epoch case
The case includes two dedicated positions for 2.5-inch SSDs and two universal bays for 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives. Cable management utilises a 30mm wide space behind the motherboard, integrated grommets, and Velcro straps for easy tying. This keeps the main chamber clear for airflow.
Connectivity and accessibility
The top panel is fitted with a modern USB-C connector with a transfer speed of 20Gbps and a pair of USB-A ports for connecting common peripherals and external devices. There is also a combined 3.5mm audio jack for headphones with a microphone. The layout of the controls and ports is designed to remain easily accessible whether the case is placed on or under a desk.
