Against the Storm Nintendo Switch is a dark fantasy strategy game in which you take on the role of the Viceroy, who re-populates a ruined world on behalf of the Burnt Queen. Your mission is to build a network of thriving settlements in the inhospitable wilderness, where danger and beauty combine, and where survival depends on the ingenious planning and cooperation of diverse races, people, beavers, lizards, foxes and harpies.
Building game
Unlike regular builder games, in Against the Storm Nintendo Switch you don't just focus on one city, but an entire colonial network that you must manage in a continuous rain. Each race has its own needs, strengths and weaknesses, and only the most prudent leader can keep the balance, contentment and production going while the threat of a never-ending storm is ever present.

Even if your settlement falls, the game continues. Thanks to roguelite elements, you can carry over your collected resources, unlocked upgrades and valuable experience to your next quest. Maintain a balance between the different species
In Against the Storm Nintendo Switch, you take command of a diverse group of inhabitants including foxes, beavers, lizards, harpies and humans. Each species brings unique skills, needs and likes to your settlements, while beavers excel at woodworking, foxes are close to nature and harpies love luxury. Your job is to keep the balance between them. You'll take care of their accommodation, cook their favourite meals, make beer, coats and cakes and keep morale high even in the midst of a constantly threatening storm. Or perhaps you prefer efficiency and sacrifice the satisfaction of one group in exchange for greater productivity for the Burnt Queen?

The Burnt Queen is eagerly awaiting the results, and if you fail to meet her demands, you may lose favour and the settlement itself. With each new city comes new challenges. Six unique biomes, hundreds of modifiers and dynamic weather ensure that no two settlements will be the same. You'll have to adapt, combining different buildings, upgrades and randomly acquired perks that can be both a blessing and a bane. Decisions come into play in Against the Storm Nintendo Switch, will you explore the dark heart of the forest at the risk of unknown dangers, or would you rather stay cautious and steady? Every trade brings different goods, every cycle different challenges and every exploration new threats. Your strategic thinking will be constantly tested.
