Uvicator sensor
While mechanical damage to a helmet is obvious, wear and tear from UV radiation remains hidden from view. The helmet is equipped with a practical Uvicator sensor that changes colour depending on the level of UV exposure. As soon as the plastic shell of the helmet is weakened by UV rays to the point where its protective function may be compromised, the sensor signals that the helmet needs to be replaced. This ensures maximum safety without having to guess the material's wear.
