The D-c-fix self-adhesive film will breathe new life into your furniture. It is also suitable for window panes, storage boxes, files, jars, tiles, doors, frames or kitchen units. It is non-toxic, environmentally friendly and lightfast. It contains no heavy metals and the adhesive used is solvent-free. It is also resistant to abrasion. You can apply it to any smooth, dry, clean and even absorbent surface. The D-c-fix film has an integrated self-adhesive layer, which makes it easy to apply. You can cut it to size with scissors or a utility knife as needed.

How to use:
Clean and degrease the surface. Clean window panes with an alcohol-based cleaner and let them dry. Clean furniture and laminate with a damp cloth. First, carefully measure everything dry, it is important to consider the direction of the pattern for films with a wood-effect design. You can cut the film with scissors, or for more precision, use a utility knife with a metal straight edge. When applying to larger areas, it is advisable to moisten the surface with a water sprayer. This does not apply to mirror self-adhesive films, chalkboard films, metallic-effect wallpapers and velour wallpapers. Water is ideal for window films and wood-effect films. Peel off about 10cm of the backing paper and place the adhesive side onto the surface. Slowly and gradually pull off the backing paper while smoothing the film with a squeegee or sponge. Push any bubbles out to the side. If the film creases or warps, carefully peel it back, straighten it by stretching it, and reapply. The film has a so-called “bonding timer”, which means you can only make corrections by peeling it off within a few minutes to tens of minutes. After a few hours, the adhesive bonds firmly and correction is no longer possible. If you need to join sections when covering larger areas, an overlap of 5–10mm is recommended. Let the wallpaper overhang at the edges and trim it at the very end. When applying to edges or curves, you can use a hot air gun, which will make the wallpaper more pliable and allow it to bend and stretch. You must work carefully to avoid irreversibly damaging the film. You can also use a squeegee for smoothing.
