Zeolite is a natural mineral material with excellent filtration properties that is used in water purification. This material is made up of microscopic crystals which, thanks to their porous structure and their physico-chemical properties, effectively trap and remove impurities, organic substances and other harmful particles from water. Zeolite is completely non-toxic and does not cause allergic reactions, which means that its use is safe for human health and the environment. Thanks to its exceptional durability and long service life, it lasts up to twice as long as commonly used filter sand. This material performs a triple filtration function - macro-filtration, micro-filtration and ion exchange. Macro-filtration captures larger impurities, micro-filtration removes fine particles and ion exchange helps reduce unwanted substances such as ammonia or heavy metals, thereby improving water quality. One Marimex pack contains 20 kg of filter cartridge, with individual grain sizes ranging from 1 to 2.55 mm. This grain size ensures optimum filtration efficiency and maximum effectiveness for water purification in various types of filtration systems.
