The small and fun 1:18 scale RC model of the Arrma Typhon Grom, with 4WD, Smart features and speeds up to 30 km/h, is precision engineered and based on the popular larger 1:8 scale Typhon. It is completely ready to ride including battery and charger. The model has an innovative clipless body mount,which keeps the bodywork securely fastened but easy to dismantle. The car is well prepared for the rigours of driving, featuring a strong composite chassis with independent suspension, oil dampers and 4WD. Robust metal differential gears transfer power from the MEGA 380 DC motor through the enclosed drivetrain to the dBoots 2-HO wheels and tyres. Even the Spektrum SX110 steering servo has metal gears and, like the Spektrum SLT 2-in-1 25A receiver/controller equipped with an IC2 connector, is waterproof for driving in wet environments. An integrated high-speed cooling fan keeps motor and controller temperatures low for long life and peak performance.

If you are a novice rider, the Spektrum 2.4GHz SLT2 transmitter will help you learn to safely control your model bylimiting the top speed to 50% or 75%, until you're ready to handle everything safely. Recharging the included Spektrum Smart 2S LiPol battery is also easy. Just plug it into the supplied Spektrum S10 Smart G2 Mini 2S USB-C charger with the IC2 connectors attached. Smart technology instantly takes care of setup and proper charging. In about an hour, your battery is safely ready for another helping of fun.
Stemless bodywork
The body snaps easily, quickly and securely onto the chassis. It can only be ejected by pressing and releasing. The new one is therefore free of clips that would have to be inserted into the holes and would damage the bodywork in operation. This is a fastening system that all ages can easily handle. On the left side of the chassis there is an easily accessible compartment for storing the drive battery. A quick-release Velcro strap ensures secure fastening.
Durable drive and precise damping
For a brutal ride over obstacles, jumps and big bumps, the model is equipped with high-quality, oil-filled shock absorbers. If you want to equip your model with pro accessories, you can use tuning accessories and mount aluminium shock absorbers on the model. The drivetrain transfers power to the durable dBoots 2-HO wheels and tyres.Driving performance is directly proportional to the quality of the wheels and especially the tyres and tread. As with the large model, the proven compound and tyre pattern is used. In the central part of the chassis is a central shaft that connects the front and rear differentials. It has direct drive from the motor by means of a pinion and main gear. At the end of the centre shaft are metal bevel gears for the differentials. The gearbox has metal gears for long life. Even the installed waterproof Spektrum SX110 servo control has metal gears.
Spektrum SX110 servo control and powerful drive unit
For reliable control, the Spektrum SX110 servo control with metal gears is installed to ensure high resistance even in the event of an impact. The right side of the chassis houses the power unit, consisting of an ARRMA MEGA 380 28T motor with a massive radiator and an integrated 25A controller with receiver. A new fan is placed between the components for even more efficient cooling.
SMART charging and Spektrum SLT2 2.4 GHz transmitter
The Spektrum Smart 2S LiPo battery with IC2 connectors has the capacity to last a long time. When it's time to recharge, just plug it into the handy Spektrum Smart G2 S10 USB-C charger. Safe charging starts automatically and takes about an hour. The Spektrum SLT2 2-channel transmitter is the ideal size for all drivers. It can help you learn to control the model safely by limiting the maximum speed of the model to 50% or 75% until you are ready for full power. 4 AA batteries for the transmitter are included.
