Heat: Rocky Roads
Heat: Rocky Roads
New Challenges for Formula 1 Racers
Heat: Heavy Rain is the 3rd expansion for the board game Heat, which turns you into a Formula 1 racer in the 1960s. The Heavy Rain expansion introduces 2 new racetracks, newly added mechanics like more aggressive legends or the ability to chain slipstreams. In the championship, it then offers a new 1996 season. The expansion will be particularly enjoyed by players who have mastered the base game and are looking for new gameplay situations, a different race pace, and a greater emphasis on planning. Heavy Rain also includes a complete set of components for another player to join your races. The Heat: Heavy Rain expansion is designed for 1–7 players aged 10 and over. A game will take you 60–120 minutes.

New Racetracks for New Strategies
Heat: Heavy Rain expands the base game with two new racetracks, each emphasising a different style of driving. In the Grand Prix of South Africa, treacherous gravel awaits you on the track, requiring careful car control and nerves of steel. The German track, on the other hand, focuses on speed and technical precision thanks to newly built chicanes, where decisions about the ideal line and the right timing for braking are made. Each circuit thus changes the way you approach the race and requires a different strategy than the tracks in the base game.
Expanded Challenges, Mechanics, and Possibilities
The Heat: Heavy Rain expansion also brings new gameplay elements that enrich the mechanics of the base game. The additional slipstream symbol allows you to chain movement and make the most of driving right behind an opponent. Aggressive legends on selected sections can get through more corners in one round. New upgrade, sponsor, and event cards add new possibilities in the garage and in championship mode.
Components for a Seventh Racer
Thanks to the set for an additional player, you can invite a seventh opponent to the table with Heavy Rain. The new tracks also increase the replayability of the base game, and the added modules can be combined with existing variants, allowing you to tailor the races to your gaming group.
