Kreul JAVANA powder fabric dye is designed for hand dyeing and creative techniques such as tie-dyeing. It lets you revive the colour of older garments or create completely original pieces from natural materials. Its formula is suitable for dyeing silk, cotton, viscose, linen, wool and polyamide. The package also contains the necessary fixing salt, so you can start creating right away.
With this dye, you can let your imagination run wild and try different methods of decorating textiles. It is suitable for the Japanese shibori technique, which creates patterns by folding and tying the fabric, as well as for traditional wax batik. You can also use it for the dip-dye method, where the textile is gradually immersed in the dye bath. This way, you can transform ordinary textiles into unique pieces according to your own ideas.
The resulting shade depends on the ratio of dye to fabric weight. To achieve a rich colour, use the entire 70g pack for approximately 200g of dry fabric. If a medium shade is sufficient, the same amount of dye will be enough for 400g of textile. Dyeing takes place at a water temperature of 50°C to 95°C, which enables you to adapt the process to different materials and the desired result. A lower temperature is suitable for wool, for example.
The package includes a fixing salt that helps to set the colour in the textile. For even better fastness and a long-lasting result, the manufacturer recommends using a separate fixing agent. The dyed textiles are not resistant to boiling, so it is important to follow the maintenance instructions. Always wash clothing and other fabrics separately from other laundry at a maximum temperature of 40°C to maintain their richness and prevent them from staining other items.
