The Losi Promoto-MX Motorcycle 1:4 RTR Basic Club MX is the first remote-controlled motorcycle model that combines an authentic riding experience and detailed detailing with a realistic look. RC model of Promoto-MX motorcycle has excellently crafted not only the mock-up appearance of the machine with narrow frame, rider figure and officially licensed graphics, but also technically mastered safe realistic control of the bike with high performance AC drive. All thanks to a unique combination of mechanical and electronic technology developed specifically for Promoto-MX. Supplied without battery and charger.

The Promoto-MX electronics include a powerful 2700Kv brushless motor and a steel flywheel mounted in the centre of the frame. The motor spins the flywheel at over 22,000 rpm to create gyroscopic torque for a safe and stable ride. Meanwhile, Spektrum's patented MS6X technology takes the signal from the DX3PM transmitter and commands the Promoto-MX motorcycle to lean and steer with unprecedented balance and finesse.

The mechanical design of the model is equally impressive. Losi's design team studied the suspension geometry of the real bike to ensure that the Promoto-MX delivers the same off-road and on-road performance. Variablestiffness of the rear suspension provides excellent grip and prevents falling during rebound. The unique front fork design with internal spring and shock allows you to adjust the damping stiffness by changing the oil viscosity and also adjusting the ground clearance. Innovative front and rear wheel braking system provides the bike with impressive stopping power and cuts stopping distances in half if only the rear electronic brake were used. Top-notch electronics and mechanical design are the reason why the Promoto-MX performs far better than all other RC motorcycles. For fans of RC racing and motocross, Promoto-MX will be a whole new experience with a unique driving style and dynamics.

The new Spektrum DX3PM transmitter and SR6300PM receiver combine with patented MS6X technology for a brand new type of control. With this technology, Promoto-MX riders can dynamically navigate corners at high and low speeds and jump jumps like real cross bikes.

The DX3PM transmitter has 3 driving modes, which you can switch between freely while driving using the rocker switch.
Dirt Mode - for off-road and grass riding, has wheel slip protection to prevent tipping over when accelerating again.
Street Mode - for riding on hard flat surfaces, the electronics detect the front wheel lifting and ensure maximum acceleration.
Wheelie Control Mode - for riding on hard flat surfaces, allows you to keep the wheels on a smooth surface at top speed.

The model features components with Spektrum Smart technology, which offers battery and component information. The SMART receiver and battery are able to communicate with each other and transmit telemetry data. The DX3PM transmitter displays the Smart battery charge status in the model via an LED on the top side. Optionally you can display complete telemetry (speed, speed, temperature and more) if you use a Spektrum transmitter with a display, e.g. DX5C, or DX5 Pro.

The gyroscopic moment to keep the motorcycle balanced is generated by a rotating steel flywheel, with a speed of more than 22,000 rpm. /min. The flywheel unit with 2700 Kv motor and electronics is mounted in the lowest part of the frame.

Don't worry if the front tyre loses grip and skids. The support bars are ready to prevent the model from exceeding the maximum lean angle, and help bring it back upright for a smooth exit from the corner. The bars have adjustable stops for up and down movement, so you can fine-tune the bike's behaviour to suit the surface type and grip. They also often help in the event of a crash - if the rear wheel still has traction, just give it some throttle and the bike will stand up on its own and keep going.

Rigid servo-saver springs with composite plates mounted on bearings, ensure consistent steering and high servo protection capability. But that's not all, the servo-saver also significantly improves stability when cornering, jumping and going over bumps.

For a perfect tuning and riding experience, the key feature of the model is the chamber between the upper and lower headstock bearing, filled with a very thick 500,000 cSt oil. This allows excellent servo-saver damping and reduces head vibration.

The model is directly packed with electronics - a Company 85A Smart AC controller, powerful Company 3652 3800 kv AC motor, DSMR receiver, S620PM ProMoto MG flywheel and steering servo unit and SX108PM ProMoto Micro MG front brakes. Everything is installed and ready to go.

In order to create the correct mock-up appearance of a slim off-road motorcycle, the electronics and battery had to fit into a compact, narrow chassis. Despite the tight spaces in the chassis, a standard 2S LiPol 5000 mAh battery can be placed in the battery box in the rider's saddle. You need to use a LiPol battery with an IC5 or EC5 connector.

The rider figure is realistically processed, including boots, helmet, gloves and all other motocross equipment. Unlike the others, the rider figure is made of rubberized plastic with an inner foam insert. The composition ensures high resistance of the slider which is not only strong, but also sufficiently flexible during impact. RC bike Promoto-MX is equipped with officially licensed replica Dunlop tires, Geomax MX53. As with the original, the tyres provide high traction and long life. Realistic wheels with real spokes are another first for the Promoto-MX. Losi's designers have created incredibly realistic looking spoke wheels with the durability needed for motocross like never before. The Losi brand has teamed up with the highly successful Pro Circuit supercross team to create officially licensed graphics for the Promoto-MX. Since 1991, Pro Circuit has had the strongest team on the AMA Supercross circuit.
The included stand for maintenance and display is modelled on the actual stand with matching graphics. Also included is a starter stand that holds the entire bike upright at the start, starter box style. After spinning the flywheel, you can drive out onto the track. No motocross machine would look good without proper graphics. The Promoto-MX has all parts - front fender, license plate, fork guards, front and rear side panels and rear fender - coloured in officially licensed vinyl graphics that are highly durable and race-ready. The model is detailed to the last details, such as the brake and clutch levers, The rope, brakes, exhaust, coloured fairing, seat, dummy wheels, front wheel brake and many others, which is sure to impress you, once you've had a chance to get your hands on the bike.
The front fork is stiff in normal driving, but compresses to safely absorb energy in the event of a crash. Protects front fork components and other components from bending and damage. A conventional, fixed rear fender would not last long on the model, so the Promoto-MX has a folding rear fender with elastomeric suspension. Therefore, when riding on the rear wheel, it can be deflected and the bike will rest on the durable nylon rear bumper underneath. Composite skid plates line the front and bottom of the Promoto-MX chassis. They offer impact protection to help protect the electronics mounted inside. The vents on each side of the wheel are closed, but can be opened to allow cooling air to flow when the air temperature is too high. Dual aluminum base plates protect all electronics and give the Promoto-MX a realistic slim look. They also give the frame the necessary rigidity and durability.
Like the big bikes, the Promoto-MX has a rear suspension with increasing levels of stiffness. Suspension is soft around maximum ground clearance for smooth handling and excellent grip. Suspension becomes increasingly stiff at higher shocks to prevent the rear wheel from going over the top. Combined with oil filled shock absorbers, the RC motorcycle is ready for any surface. The Promoto-MX front fork has a new modern design with an internal spring and shock absorber. The front fork tubes are designed to function similar to conventional RC shocks, they can be tuned by changing the oil viscosity. The spacers can also be used to adjust the clearance by means of opposing coil springs. And perhaps most importantly, they look amazing - just like the real thing.
After months of testing different ones, the Promoto-MX product development team found the best head tube angle setting of 62.4°, for the best ride balance on Off-Road and On-Road tracks. The Promoto-MX is equipped with a high-performance drive system with a 4-pole 3652 3800 kv AC motor with 85 A controller. This ensures high torque, brutal acceleration and speeds of up to 65 km/h. The Losi Promoto-MX is delivered fully assembled, including the Spektrum Smart transmitter and on-board electronics already installed.Even AA batteries for the transmitter are included. Just add a 2S LiPol battery with IC5 connector and a compatible charger and you're ready to go. The IC3/IC5 adapters do not fit into the space in the Promoto-MX. A LiPol battery with IC5 or EC5 connector is required.
Battery to power the RC model LiPol battery with 2 cells (7,4 V) e.g. for economical operation, the Spektrum Smart LiPo 7.4 V 5000 mAh 30C HC IC5 with IC5 connector and Smart technology or for a more spirited ride, the Spektrum Smart LiPo 7.4 V 5000 mAh 50C HC IC5 with IC5 connector and Smart technology. Spectrum batteries with Smart technology are currently the most advanced and safest way to maintain and charge batteries. If you choose to use modern Smart LiPo batteries, the following chargers are recommended: Spektrum S1100AC with one 1×100 W output, Spektrum S1400 with one 1×400 W output or Spektrum S2200 with two 2×200 W outputs.
For normal operation of RC models you need tire glue, bolt glue, tool kit and silicone oil for shock absorbers. Tyre adhesive is used to glue the tyres to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary to ensure that the tyre is firmly glued to the wheel rim around its entire circumference. If the tyre is not glued all the way around, the tyre may tear. Tyre adhesive has a special formulation that is able to bond materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the adhesive is flexible once it has hardened. Robitronic Tire Glue is recommended. Occasionally it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers of the model and change the oil in the differentials. Normal operation results in only minor leaks of silicone oil down the piston rods of the shock absorber. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage can be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. From the range of silicone oils, TLR (Team Losi Racing) silicone oils are recommended, see recommended accessories. For routine maintenance, screw adhesive is required. Screws screwed into metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this adhesive.
