While working as the programme director at an institution for children who have suffered trauma, Ray Phillips, the founder of the American brand SoapSox, wondered how to keep children in the bath who were so afraid of bathing that they cried and hid from it. The children's favourite soft toys gave them a sense of security, but they weren't suitable for daily bathing. This is how the idea came about to create a soft toy that they could play with during the day and, at the same time, bathe with in the evening without any problems. The SoapSox Jackson the Whale wash mitt is made from soft terrycloth and an antimicrobial sponge that can suppress the growth of bacteria, mould, and microbes. The soft and pleasant-to-the-touch toy is equipped with a patented mesh pocket for bar or liquid soap and built-in finger pockets. This allows it to create a rich lather when soaked and squeezed.
Pour shower gel or place a bar of soap into the animal's pocket. Then, soak the SoapSox animal in water and squeeze it to work up a lather. Insert your fingers into the side pockets and use it as a washcloth. Children will have great fun, and those who are afraid of bathing will forget their fear. If you need to wash your SoapSox whale, simply put it in the washing machine and select a gentle cycle. Thread a string through the loop on the top of the animal, create a loop, and hang the animal up to dry.
