The JBL Live 680NC wireless headphones feature a closed, on-ear design that combines comfort with high acoustic precision. Connection is via modern Bluetooth 6.0 technology or a 1.2m detachable cable with a 3.5mm Jack. The integrated adaptive noise cancelling system constantly analyses ambient sounds and suppresses unwanted noise. The built-in 870mAh battery provides power for up to 80 hours of operation with ANC off. With active noise cancelling, the battery life is around 50 hours. A full charge via the USB-C port takes approximately 2 hours.

Sound and Tuning

The headphones use 40mm dynamic drivers that deliver detailed sound across a wide frequency range of 10Hz to 40kHz. The Hi-Res Audio certified sound profile is complemented by spatial sound technology for an immersive experience from any stereo content. Users can use the Personi-Fi 3.0 tool in the mobile app to create a personal listening profile. Sound parameters can be further adjusted using the integrated equaliser.

Noise Cancelling and Ambient Mode

True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 technology uses four microphones to continuously evaluate ambient noise. The system automatically adjusts the attenuation level in real time, eliminating distracting sounds from your surroundings. The Ambient Aware and TalkThru features are used to perceive what's happening around you or to communicate with people without having to take the headphones off. The amount of ambient sound you let in can be adjusted directly in the companion app.

Battery Life and Charging

The 870mAh lithium-ion battery provides power for long hours of listening. Without active noise cancelling, the battery life is up to 80 hours, and with ANC on, it's 50 hours. A quick five-minute charge provides another four hours of operation for unexpected situations. A complete recharge from a flat battery takes approximately 2 hours via the USB-C connector.

Calls and Microphone

Phone calls are crystal clear thanks to the four integrated microphones. Beamforming technology focuses on the user's voice and suppresses noise caused by wind or city traffic. An artificial intelligence-trained algorithm filters out unwanted background noise for intelligible communication. Talk time with ANC on is up to 28 hours, and up to 33 hours with it off.

Fit and Design

The ergonomic design with soft earcups and a lightweight headband reduces pressure on the ears during long wear. The metal hinge increases overall mechanical durability and contributes to a long lifespan. The foldable design makes it easy to carry the headphones in the included soft pouch. The rotating earcups easily conform to the shape of your head and improve the acoustic seal.
