Design and sustainability
The drive's appearance was conceived by industrial designer Neil Poulton, who gave the device a simple aesthetic. The body is a combination of aluminium and plastic, with the construction containing at least 25% recycled materials, helping to reduce the product's environmental footprint. The precise laser-engraved logo and compact dimensions enhance its portability and visually complement a modern workspace.
Universal connection and compatibility
The portable drive is plug-and-play, so you just need to connect it to start using it without installing any drivers. The USB-C connector supports wide compatibility across different platforms. This 2TB external HDD works seamlessly with both Windows and macOS computers. It is just as easy to connect to an iPad or iPhone with a USB-C port for direct file management without needing cloud storage.
Software and data protection
The product includes LaCie Toolkit software, which simplifies the process of backing up your files. You can use it to set up automatic backups on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, or perform a one-time mirroring of selected folders. In case of unexpected failure, the three-year Rescue Data Recovery Services plan provides professional data recovery. As a bonus, you also get two months of access to the Adobe Creative Cloud Pro plan.
