The Simplehuman pedal bin with its steel pedal is built to withstand even the most frequent use. It has been designed to handle 150000 presses. That's more than twenty opens a day for 20 years. Once you release the pedal, the lid closes slowly and, most importantly, silently on its own. The lid stays open for exactly as long as you want. The stainless steel is protected by a special coating that prevents fingerprints and other marks from being left behind. This keeps the bin looking shiny and bright. The inner bucket catches small bits of rubbish. It can be quickly removed and easily cleaned as needed. What's more, because you can lift the inner bucket, changing the bag is a piece of cake.

Custom-fit bin liners
The internal hinge means you can place the bin right up against the wall, saving space. The base of the bin has rubber, non-slip feet. These are gentle on the floor and also ensure the bin's stability. Simplehuman produces its own bin liners. They are known for their high strength and are easy to remove from the bin. The liners that fit this bin perfectly are marked with the letter J (30–45L).
