Ivana Peroutková
A writer and translator, she graduated in theatre and film studies from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. She debuted with the novel Na vahách života (On the Scales of Life) (1992). Since then, she has authored over four dozen titles for young readers, teenagers, and adults. She is the author of the exceptionally successful book series about the little girl Anička and the extraordinary heroine Valentýnka. Ivana Peroutková's books regularly feature in the top spots of reader polls and have won several awards. Ivana lives in Prague and has a daughter and two sons.
