Golden Grail
The first part of an epic fantasy series from the pen of the new hope of Czech fantasy
The wildling queen, Ymir, is considered by most warriors to be an unpredictable madwoman, as are her fierce followers. To fight, to bleed, to live — and to love unconditionally!
And now Ymira has a new wild card, Arachné Isarell. A girl from the ancient Grai race managed to survive for two years in the inhospitable landscape of Shadow with only one goal - to join the Queen of the Wildlings and, under her command, become Aithra' s most dangerous weapon.
Opposing them is one of the most promising heirs of the angelic race — Prince Daimon, in whose service is also the young Bastien Demnogonis.
Both Isarell and Bastien become puppets in a dangerous game of ruthless schemers. In a game where they either emerge victorious or lose their lives. In a world ruled by the radiant jorrei, bloodthirsty sarrei roam the forests, and old forces awaken among the human tribes, there is no place for the weak.
They wrote about the book:
The Golden Grai is the opening work of a saga by literary debutante Kristina M. Waagnerová. You might think that you' ve already encountered a few Czech authors who wanted to write vast sagas. But The Golden Grai is one of those books that sticks in your memory.
- Fantasy Planet
Kristina M. ' s Golden Grai Waagnerová is a phenomenon — a debut that, in terms of pace, craftsmanship, and imaginative construction, rivals the novels of far more experienced stars of the genre. It is a fantasy that is characterized by a well-thought-out and ruthless world, but also by a multitude of vivid and unpredictable characters, whose journey I am extremely looking forward to in future works.
