Most warriors consider Ymira, Queen of the Wildwomen, to be an unpredictable madwoman, just like her wild followers. Fight, bleed, live—and love it unconditionally!
And now Ymira has a new wild card, Arachne Isarell. A girl from the ancient Grai race, she has managed to survive for two years in the inhospitable landscape of the Shadow with a single goal—to join the Queen of the Wildwomen and, under her command, become Aithra's most dangerous weapon.
Standing against them is one of the most promising heirs of the angelic race—Prince Daimón, in whose service we also find the young Bastien Demnogonis.
Both Isarell and Bastien become puppets in a dangerous game of ruthless intrigue. A game where they will either emerge as victors or lose their lives. In a world ruled by the radiant Jorrei, where bloodthirsty Sarrei roam the forests and ancient powers are awakening among the human tribes, there is no place for the weak.
Zlatá grai is the opening volume of a saga from a debutant on the literary scene, Kristina M. Waagnerová. You might think you've seen a few Czech authors who wanted to write sprawling sagas. But Zlatá grai is one of those books that will stick in your memory.
- Fantasy Planet
Kristina M. Waagnerová's Zlatá grai is a phenomenon—a debut that, in its pacing, craftsmanship, and imaginative construction, rivals novels by far more experienced stars of the genre. It's a fantasy distinguished by a well-thought-out and ruthless world, as well as a host of lively and unpredictable characters whose journey in future instalments I am immensely looking forward to.
