Lord of the Mountains II
An unfortunate duel that will divide a family for many years
The life of Edmond and Christina' s offspring will be decisively influenced by the fall of the empire. Sebastian, like his father, resigns from civil service and returns with his family from Venice back to the castle. His younger brother Louis remains in Paris and continues to build his political career. Josefina' s wild nature prompts her parents to hasten her marriage. However, even that does not prevent an unfortunate duel that will divide the family for many years. The rift is also fueled by the demonic cousin Eugenie, whose intrigues can destroy political careers as easily as family relationships. Another generation is growing up, influenced by groundbreaking historical events. They bring with them moments of happiness and tragedy, social rise and fall, long journeys and new loves.
