Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Canine EN Gastrointestinal is a complete, highly digestible, low-fibre diet for adult dogs designed to compensate for maldigestion and exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. The recipe contains highly digestible components and a specific fat source for easy digestion. The food contains coconut oil, with high levels of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), which is an easily digestible and usable source of energy. The high digestibility facilitates the availability of nutrients, increases their absorption and helps to reduce the burden on the affected intestine. The food is also enriched with prebiotics (purified inulin) and thanks to the increased content ofsoluble fibre phelps to manage colitis associated with damaged mucosa and inflammation andpopposes the proper quality of stool.

Feed indication
Pro Plan Veterinary Diets Canine EN Gastrointestinal is suitable for dogs suffering from various digestive tract diseases and related problems. It can be administered in acute enteritis, enteritis, gastroenteritis or colitis. It is also recommended for dogs with malabsorption, maldigestion, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), diarrhea, both chronic and acute. It is also suitable for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), pancreatitis and lymphangiectasia. The food can also be used in liver diseases without encephalopathy and in dogs with hyperlipidaemia.
Feeding instructions
Please note that any information provided about PURINA® PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIET products is intended for dietary support of dogs with the symptoms listed and is not a substitute for appropriate medical treatment. Veterinary diets should be administered under veterinary supervision.
Taking into account individual conditions, a gradual transition to a new diet is recommended, preferably over several days. Feeding small portions several times a day helps to optimise digestion and nutrient absorption. PURINA® PRO PLAN® VETERINARY DIETS EN Gastrointestinal™ provides complete and balanced nutrition for growing puppies and adult dogs.
For every additional 5 kg of body weight, increase the feed ration by 1/2 can.
The recommended duration of use is from the beginning up to 12 weeks and lifelong in case of chronic pancreatic insufficiency. It is recommended to seek the opinion of a veterinarian before use. Clean fresh drinking water should always be available.
The dosage is for a can weighing 400 g - it is necessary to recalculate the dosage, use according to the instructions on the packaging.
