The Samsung Portable SSD T9 external drive with a 2TB capacity offers high transfer speeds, broad compatibility and a durable design in a compact body. Save time and get more done
The USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface and NVMe protocol give the Samsung Portable SSD T9 plenty of performance for working with large files. Sequential read speeds reach up to 2000MB/s and write speeds up to 1950MB/s, so you can quickly move large videos, photos, or work projects and shorten data loading times. With the right configuration, the T9 can transfer a 2GB file in approximately one second. To achieve maximum speed, both the connected device and the cable must support USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 and UASP mode.
Works across different systems
The Samsung Portable SSD T9 easily connects to various work and home setups. It is compatible with Windows and macOS computers, Android phones and tablets, game consoles, smart TVs and cameras, including devices that work with high-resolution video. With both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables included in the box, you can connect the drive to modern and older devices without needing to buy extra accessories straight away. The T9 is also backward compatible with older USB versions.
The ideal travel companion
The 2TB capacity is housed in a compact body measuring just 88×60×14mm and weighing 122g. This makes it easy to slip the Samsung Portable SSD T9 into your pocket, laptop bag or camera gear. The surface, with its fine, non-slip, fabric-like texture, improves your grip while giving the drive a distinctive look.
Stable performance thanks to Dynamic Thermal Guard
Samsung's Dynamic Thermal Guard technology helps manage the drive's temperature and limit performance drops caused by overheating. This means the T9 can maintain high transfer speeds even when working with large files for extended periods. The design also meets the requirements of the international safety standard IEC 62368-1.
Advanced protection for your data
The compact design of the Samsung Portable SSD T9 is built to protect your data even when you're on the move every day. The drive offers resistance to drops from a height of up to 3 metres, so it can better withstand unexpected impacts when working on the go. Sensitive files can also be secured with a password using 256-bit AES hardware encryption, which helps prevent unauthorised access to your stored content.
Samsung Magician software for easy management
Samsung Magician offers a clear set of tools to manage your SSD from a single interface. It lets you monitor the drive's health, manage data security, and install the latest firmware updates, so you can easily keep the performance and condition of your Samsung Portable SSD T9 in check. The software is available for supported Windows, macOS, and Android systems.
Samsung NAND technology
Samsung uses its own expertise in developing NAND flash memory, which forms the foundation of its consumer SSD storage. This same technology platform is behind the T9 portable SSD, combining high performance, a compact design, and reliable data storage in a single device.

Creating a better world – the immodest vision which has driven Samsung since its inception in 1938. The courage to invest in the development of new technologies is typical for the company, as evidenced by a series of visionary solutions. Currently, Samsung is the largest group of companies in South Korea and the third largest worldwide conglomerate by revenue.
Samsung consumers associate the brand with high-quality consumer electronics. It is known for its Galaxy series, one of the best and most sought after mobile phones in its class. One must also mention Samsung TVs, where the company has long been at the cutting edge in technology and quality. The competence of the company is much broader. It is active in machinery and heavy industry, chemicals, construction, retail, and financial services.
