The HAL3000 PowerWork AMD 124 is a workstation designed for office use, multimedia work, and tasks that use artificial intelligence. This desktop PC, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G, has an octa-core processor architecture with a clock speed of up to 5.1GHz and a dedicated NPU unit with a performance of up to 16 TOPS for hardware acceleration of AI operations. The smooth running of the Windows 11 Home operating system and applications is supported by 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a fast 500GB NVMe SSD connected via a PCIe 4.0 bus. The integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics card handles common graphics projects. With its integrated graphics, this Mini Tower PC offers wide connectivity, including a USB-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 2.5Gb/s LAN port, and serves as a flexible setup for future upgrades.
The setup includes an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G processor, which offers 8 cores and 16 threads with a base frequency of 4.2GHz, and can automatically boost up to 5.1GHz. The processor on the AMD A620 chipset contains 24MB of cache. The chip also includes a specialised AMD Ryzen AI unit with a performance of up to 16 TOPS. This unit accelerates tasks related to artificial intelligence directly at the hardware level, which reduces the load on the main processor cores and speeds up the running of compatible applications.
The PC has 16GB of RAM, using a single DDR5 module with a frequency of 6000MHz. The motherboard has a total of four slots, which support an RAM expansion of up to 192GB, leaving three slots free for an easy upgrade. A 500GB M.2 SSD connected via the PCIe 4.0 bus is used for the system and data.
The integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics card handles content display, providing sufficient performance for common graphics projects and multimedia playback. The PC's front and rear panels offer ports for connecting peripherals, including one USB-C, five USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports. For network connection, you can use the fast 2.5Gb/s LAN port, wireless Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth 5.2. Video outputs are provided by an HDMI and a DisplayPort connector.
The components are housed in a Mini Tower case measuring 388×200×423mm. A 550W power supply unit powers the entire setup. The PSU provides a sufficient reserve for installing a discrete graphics card and fully populating all hard drive bays. The cooling concept, which combines a quiet CPU cooler and low-power components, contributes to quiet operation even under heavy load.
