The player's heavy steel chassis supports Rotel's proprietary drive mechanism, designed exclusively for playing compact discs. The smooth disc loading, precise laser pickup, and quiet motor allow the CD11MKII to provide easy and trouble-free playback of your CD collection, including MP3s. The conversion of digital data to an analogue signal is handled by a premium Texas Instruments PCM5102A 32-bit/384kHz DAC, which feeds custom-tuned low-pass filters.
