Performance at the limits of SATA
Sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s and write speeds of up to 530MB/s get the most out of the SATA III interface, ensuring fast booting for your system, apps and games. Intelligent TurboWrite technology uses a variable buffer to maintain high write speeds, even when transferring large files or under sustained load. The 2GB LPDDR4 DRAM cache speeds up access to frequently used data and optimises work with smaller files. With its sixth-generation TLC V-NAND and Samsung MKX controller, the Samsung 870 EVO 2TB offers consistent performance without slowdowns, whether you're copying hundreds of gigabytes of video or working with large databases.
Wide compatibility and versatile use for the Samsung SSD
The standard 2.5" form factor and SATA III interface ensure compatibility with virtually any desktop computer, laptop or NAS server. The Samsung 870 EVO 2TB has undergone extensive testing with chipsets, motherboards, network-attached storage and professional recording devices from manufacturers like Synology, QNAP and Blackmagic Design. Upgrading from your old drive is simple with Samsung Magician Software, which transfers your entire system, including the operating system, without needing a fresh installation.
The Samsung 870 EVO excels with top-class reliability
An endurance of 1200TBW means you can write a huge amount of data to the Samsung 870 EVO drive before it wears out – for the average user, this translates to many years of trouble-free operation. A mean time between failures of 1.5 million hours confirms its exceptional durability even under continuous load. The Samsung 870 EVO 2TB uses sixth-generation TLC V-NAND and the proven MKX controller, which together ensure stable performance without degradation over time. Samsung's five-year limited warranty then provides peace of mind that you have reliable support should any problems arise.
A simple, worry-free upgrade
Even less experienced users can switch to the Samsung 870 EVO 2TB in a matter of minutes. Simply insert the drive into a 2.5" slot or external enclosure, connect it to your computer and run the Samsung Magician Software. This will transfer the entire contents of your old drive, including the operating system, applications and settings, without the need for a clean installation. Once the migration is complete, just swap the drives and get straight back to work on your faster storage. No complicated setup, no data loss – just a faster, more reliable computer.
Samsung Magician software for full control
The Samsung Magician application offers complete management of your SSD in a clear interface. Monitor the drive's current status, remaining lifespan, temperature and total data written in real time. Update the firmware to the latest version with a single click for optimal performance and security. The Performance Benchmark feature measures the actual speed of the drive in your system, while Secure Erase securely deletes all data before selling or disposing of it. The Samsung 870 EVO 2TB is always under your control with a tool that grows with your needs.
The world's number one in flash memory
Samsung has held its position as the global leader in the flash memory market since 2003, and the EVO series is among the world's bestselling SSDs. All components, including the NAND chips, DRAM cache and controller, are designed and manufactured in-house by Samsung, ensuring perfect integration and end-to-end quality control. The Samsung 870 EVO 2TB represents the pinnacle of this tradition – a combination of proven reliability, cutting-edge performance and maximum capacity in a SATA SSD. When you're choosing storage for your valuable data, opting for the world number one just makes sense.

Creating a better world – the immodest vision which has driven Samsung since its inception in 1938. The courage to invest in the development of new technologies is typical for the company, as evidenced by a series of visionary solutions. Currently, Samsung is the largest group of companies in South Korea and the third largest worldwide conglomerate by revenue.
Samsung consumers associate the brand with high-quality consumer electronics. It is known for its Galaxy series, one of the best and most sought after mobile phones in its class. One must also mention Samsung TVs, where the company has long been at the cutting edge in technology and quality. The competence of the company is much broader. It is active in machinery and heavy industry, chemicals, construction, retail, and financial services.
