Performance at the limit of SATA
Sequential read speeds of up to 560MB/s and write speeds of up to 530MB/s get the most out of the SATA III interface and ensure your system, applications and games launch swiftly. Intelligent TurboWrite technology uses a variable buffer that maintains high write speeds, even when transferring large files or under sustained load. The 4GB LPDDR4 DRAM cache speeds up access to frequently used data and optimises work with smaller files. Thanks to 6th generation TLC V-NAND and the Samsung MKX controller, the Samsung 870 EVO 4TB offers consistent performance without slowdowns, whether you're copying hundreds of gigabytes of video or working with large databases.
Broad compatibility and versatile use for the Samsung SSD
The standard 2.5" form factor and SATA III interface ensure compatibility with virtually any desktop computer, laptop or NAS server. The Samsung 870 EVO 4TB has undergone extensive testing with chipsets, motherboards, network-attached storage, and professional recording devices from manufacturers like Synology, QNAP, and Blackmagic Design. Upgrading from an old drive is simple thanks to the Samsung Magician Software, which transfers your entire system, including the operating system, without needing a fresh installation.
The Samsung 870 EVO excels with top-tier reliability
An endurance rating of 2400 TBW means you can write a huge amount of data to the Samsung 870 EVO drive before it wears out—for a typical user, this represents many years of trouble-free operation. A mean time between failures of 1.5 million hours confirms its exceptional durability, even under continuous load. The Samsung 870 EVO 4TB uses 6th generation TLC V-NAND and the proven MKX controller, which together ensure stable performance without degradation over time. A five-year limited warranty from Samsung then provides the assurance that you have reliable support should any problems arise.
A simple, worry-free upgrade
Even a less experienced user can switch to the Samsung 870 EVO 4TB in minutes. Simply slide the drive into a 2.5" slot or external enclosure, connect it to your computer, and run the Samsung Magician Software. It will transfer the entire contents of your old drive, including the operating system, applications, and settings, without needing a clean installation. Once the migration is complete, just swap the drives and immediately continue working on faster storage. No complex setup, no data loss—just a faster, more reliable computer.
Samsung Magician software for full control
The Samsung Magician application offers complete management of your SSD in a clear interface. Monitor the current status of the drive, its remaining lifespan, temperature, and the total volume of data written in real time. Update the firmware to the latest version with a single click for optimal performance and security. The Performance Benchmark feature measures the actual speed of the drive in your system, while Secure Erase safely deletes all data before selling or disposing of it. With a tool that grows with your needs, you always have your Samsung 870 EVO 4TB under control.
The world's number one in flash memory
Samsung has held the position of global leader in the flash memory market since 2003, and the EVO series is among the bestselling SSDs in the world. All components, including the NAND chips, DRAM cache, and controller, are designed and manufactured in-house by Samsung, ensuring perfect integration and quality control from start to finish. The Samsung 870 EVO 4TB represents the pinnacle of this tradition—a combination of proven reliability, top-tier performance, and maximum capacity in the SATA SSD line. When choosing storage for your valuable data, opting for the world's number one makes sense.

Creating a better world – the immodest vision which has driven Samsung since its inception in 1938. The courage to invest in the development of new technologies is typical for the company, as evidenced by a series of visionary solutions. Currently, Samsung is the largest group of companies in South Korea and the third largest worldwide conglomerate by revenue.
Samsung consumers associate the brand with high-quality consumer electronics. It is known for its Galaxy series, one of the best and most sought after mobile phones in its class. One must also mention Samsung TVs, where the company has long been at the cutting edge in technology and quality. The competence of the company is much broader. It is active in machinery and heavy industry, chemicals, construction, retail, and financial services.
